Not really page worthy, but a quick acknowledgement that MatPat's going to be retiring soon. He seems like a decent guy and he's going out on a high note.

I did make the odd joke at his expense, but keyword there - Joke; as in "all in good fun." It was mainly how he tended to make far too many FNAF related videos a month. I mean, I like me some Korone, Pekora and Neco Arc, but I don't go on about it every five minutes.

Regardless, I wish him all the best in... Whatever he wants to do now.

(I didn't watch the full video. He even said at the start to stop once he got that main announcement done).

No Panda's Rant or SOTW this week. Birthday weekend so I'm taking it easy.

Pokemon: The Teal Mask review *should* be next, while Di'Aniss is currently working on the Baldur's Gate 3 review. Not sure when that'll be up, because she recons she'll still be playing that by 2024.

The winner of the Halloween Showcase poll was Super Mario, so that'll be this years Halloween Showcase. Plus, with the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the blockbuster movie earlier this year and the retirement of Charles Martinet, it felt appropriate to give Mario the spotlight this year.

That's not to say there won't be FNAF related content this Halloween, as the movie will be out next month.

If you're unable to read the latest Snark of the Week, then I think DA's got another glitch at the moment. I managed to get most of it into the description, yet whenever I add the last segment, it keeps saying "No Valid Response." Not sure how to fix this, but I'll try again later.

I'll be seeing the Super Mario Bros. Movie tomorrow. While I fully expect this to be a solid film, here are my predictions going in.

1: EASILY going to surpass the previous two attempts to make a Mario movie.

2: Better than Sonic 1 and Detective Pikachu, but not better than Sonic 2.

3: Some of the references will make me smile, while most will get tiresome very quickly.

4: On par with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, but Puss will have the stronger story.

5: While I hope this isn't the start of a Nintendo Cinematic Universe (because it wouldn't work) I hope this is the end of Superhero Movie's dominance.

6: The final piece of evidence I need to dismiss anything Grace Randolph says from this point forward.

7: Danny DeVito as Wario in the sequel.

So for 2023, there isn't going to be a Month Review (sorry about that). However, there will be an even larger Year Review and Deadcember 2023 Awards to make up for this fact.

Also, I think it's safe to say there isn't a joke I can make about current events that wouldn't be as big of a joke as the news itself. We've literally turned into a cartoon world where everything is not only ridiculous, it shows no sign of improvement.

Boycotts over video games due to political issues.

Russia's war with Ukraine.

The media's continued war with relevance.

Spy Balloons.

Madonna now looks like Nemesis from the Resident Evil franchise.

Two of the most spoiled, entitled and privileged people on the planet are possibly sueing a cartoon because "it made fun of them."

And many, many more.

I could point out the hypocrisy of people boycotting Hogwarts Legacy, yet the same people are super excited to see the Flash. I could comment on Nicola Sturgeon stepping down while I wait for Rishi Sunak to bugger off as well. And I could have a good laugh that Iggy Azalea's opened an OnlyFans account.

But, to be perfectly honest, I don't care anymore.

I need a break. A long break.
