Here we go again.

I know people have already dived into the usual "CRAPCOM!!" rants over the inclusion of Decapre.

First of all, how do you even pronounce that?

Second. I don't understand why ULTRA Street Fighter IV needs to exist in the first place, when that could have been Darkstalkers, Dino Crisis, Final Fight or Power Stone 3. Then again they tend to make these updates for tourneyfags anyway. So more power to them for getting what they want I guess. Personally I hate tournaments... it means interacting with other human beings.

Something I cannot stand in the least.

I'm not annoyed by her inclusion, because I already have my favourites and I doubt I'll even play as this character. It's like all the new announcements in Smash Bros yet I tend to just pick Mario all the time. I also find it amusing that people say " CLONES ARE THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO FIGHTERS!" yet these same mouth breathers loved the shit out of Mortal Kombat back in the day. Oh who should I play as?

Yellow Scorpion? Blue Scorpion, Green Scorpion or Red Scorpion? Oh decisions, decisions. Granted they changed it up but like Ken and Akuma they started life as a clone. Also isn't Clone Masahiro Sakurai's favourite word when making Smash Bros?

Ah, I digress.

I'm going to tackle this from both sides and give out an equal smacking to Capcom and the fanboys pissed off by it.

As far as Decapre goes, that was a gigantic waste of hype!

That trailer didn't really shake off "the anti consumer" image you've been trying to shift recently.

Yeah Capcom, that was kinda lame. A big hype over a "new" character when it's mainly Cammy in a Vega mask. I think this latest resentment could have been avoided if you didn't make a big song and dance over it. Just said "Here's Evil Cammy!" or just thrown in Bad Box Art Mega Man which would have been considered funny now that the Mega Man dramuhs died down. It's not completely evil because at least she isn't on disc DLC! I'll give you that much.

You're slowly getting the message I suppose.

Yet at the same time. Considering you don't have an art department for SF4 anymore and are broke. I can't harp on this too much. Not to mention this one out of a shit ton of characters in Ultra. I'll probably pick up the game at some point and won't even touch the character. What would have been a better idea was you just included the 4 characters from SFXT and left it with that. The world needs Decapre like the world needs a new Nicki Minaj album.

Nobody can say you didn't do all you could to make Street Fighter IV "perfect" but you really should have counted your losses with Super and called it a day! Personally, I think you should give up the fighting game scene for awhile. I mean hell, STRIDER worked out so well. Why not focus more of your efforts on that? That game proves you CAN make something without being assholes about it. Yet I guess you wouldn't be Capcom if you didn't try flipping your fans off in some way.

Yet you carry on like this and I don't think you'll be laughing for much longer.


Now for the fanboys.
I'm starting to notice a trend that is actually making the problem worse. I'm going to bring up WWE for a moment here. WWE's haters proclaim their hate and anger over the product and say "I'M NEVER WATCHING THIS AGAIN!!!" Yet what do you think happens?

They tune in next week just to repeat the process.

Even WWE have wised up to this fact. On one of their Facebook pages they responded to an angry fanboy's comments about "I'M NEVER WATCHING THIS AGAIN!!!" by simply saying "lol, see you next week!"

What I'm saying is, you constantly going to every Capcom video, forum or thread talking about this just to "be angry" isn't going to solve the problem. I may hate Microsoft for how they handled the Xbox One but I wouldn't say something like "I just hope that no one buys this shitty console so that Microsoft goes into bankruptcy as fast as possible!"

That seems completely unfair to lump an entire company into the fire for one departments bullshit. Is it fair for the teams that worked on the STRIDER reboot and the Archie Mega Man comic to be out of work, over the continued incompetence of the Japanese Capcom branch?

That's when I lose sympathy with "the hard done by gamers" and avoid people all together. Imagine this if you will.

I go into a McDonalds and order a special new burger called "The Mig Bac" and it turns out it's a Big Mac but with a marshmallow on top. I'd naturally ask for my money back and tell McDonalds this is false advertisement.

Seem fair so far?

Now imagine I take it a step further. I start to curse out the clerk who sold it to me. I tell him "You suck, I hate you and I hope you get fired!"

Still seem fair?

Now imagine I take it another step further. After being ejected from the building, I go online and make Youtube videos about it. Telling people who watch "I want them all to go bankrupt because they're assholes!!!" Then I proceed to make another 20 videos about it.

If you still think that sounds fair.... then gaming will continue to be seen as a joke.

I also like how you were all onboard with Evil Ryu and Evil Akuma. Yet an Evil Cammy is "THE LAST STRAW!!!" I guess Feminists will be happy. There's your female protagonist

Not that I have issues with more females in fighting games. Provided it's not this.

Don't get me wrong, Decapre's a pretty worthless addition, but the reactions to her gives me no faith in anyone taking the gaming community seriously ever again!
