Xbox One?

Okay, I just need a second for the rotting slab where my brain used to be to digest that for a second.

Xbox One?

Okay in all seriousness who was expected fantastic things to be announced by Microsoft? Not to mention was anyone able to watch it? Every time I tried to watch the damm thing it was laggy as all fuck and freezed more than the British weather in recent times. So most of the information has kindly been provided by my friends who helped me out when Microsoft's stream eventually told me to go fuck myself and closed it off.

Pro tip Microsoft - Not all of us can support stuff in widescreen and high definition.

Twats!

So the console itself is about as appealing as John Prescott in a speedo to be honest. A really ugly machine which has not only Kinect support but voice commands as well. Voice commands eh? Will it be able to beam me aboard the Enterprise as well? That kind of shit is really pointless and it's sadly a firm reminder that Microsoft has more interest in ponce side gadgets and apps instead of what truly makes a system.

VIDEO GAMES!

I mean the idea of Steven Spielberg directing a Halo TV Series sounds good on paper, yet it's not really something you can play is it? Microsoft appears to be heading down the home entertainment route instead of just being a basic video game console. Which strikes me as kind of ironic because when the 360 launched they were all about the games and didn't want to follow "that gimmick crowd" Nintendo started and Sony followed along with. Now look at what's happening.

Wii U, while slightly gimmicky, is going to a more game based route and Microsoft is more invested in keeping housewives entertained than you or I?

How is that for ironic?

The typical kind of announcements of EA Sports titles and another bloody Call of Duty didn't seem to impress my fellow critics. Yet for many the announcement of paying a fee for preowned games hasn't sat well with them either.

Basically, you'll have to install each and every game you buy (this is mandatory btw) onto the Xbox one. That may not sound like much but if a friend wanted to borrow your copy of Halo 5 for example... you have to pay a fee in order for them to do that.

This is why I don't complain about DLC people. Or it puts that argument about optional content into perspective.

Because you know what? If your friend borrows your copy of say Street Fighter X Tekken for example at least THEY CAN PLAY THE FUCKING GAME WITHOUT BEING CHARGED TO DO IT!!!

That is a scumbag move in all honesty! Which surprisingly makes me wanna forgive Nintendo and Linkara's recent whoring tbh.

So I'll say it again just so you understand.

You have to pay a fee in order to play a pre owned game or if your friend wants to borrow your game.

Yeah, I like buying preowned games thank you. It's mainly because I like to wait a good 4-5 months before playing some titles or it's more of a case of being a smart shopper. Yeah I plan on checking out Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider around late October or Christmas time.

Yet there was something amusing to come out of this whole thing.

Following Microsoft's live stream. Sony's stock has apparently jumped up by 8%

I guess you can consider this a sign of things to come Microsoft :P

Now I have said before I'm not making a decision on which system to go for until E3 draws to a close. Yet that decision was going to be between the 3 main systems.... Now it's only going to be 2 choices.

I think you can guess which ONE I won't be giving the time of day to :P

You go ALL the way in a Circle, 360. And You go back to One!

"Xbox-720" would have just Been a Acceptable-Name, Regardless. I just don't get the Idea of calling The Console, "One" after The Name "360".
